Although 2020 has thrown a wrench into Orlando tourism and travel, Universal Studios is offering visitors two haunted house experiences in place of HHN 2020. While many Orlando locals and tourists alike are disappointed to see Halloween Horror Nights go this year, there are still activities to keep thrill-seekers entertained.
HHN 2020 Modifications
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Universal had to make the difficult decision to cancel their annual Halloween Horror Nights event. This has been disappointing to many, as some people plan their vacations around the heart-pounding excursion. However, there will still be two haunted houses as part of the HHN 2020 modified experience.
In Universal Studios Florida, guests can visit Revenge of the Tooth Fairy and Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives. For the first time ever, daytime visitors will be able to experience these haunts. What’s more, guests will also be able to virtually wait in line through the Universal Studios app.

Revenge of the Tooth Fairy
A haunting twist to the innocent tale of the tooth fairy, step into a withering old manor that’s been overrun by fairy fiends. Children’s teeth are taken by force by the yellow-clawed monsters—an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Guests travel through a short hallway that leads to the main story character’s bedroom, where we learn that his Nanny has been overtaken by the Tooth Fairy. The experience then takes guests through a maze of corridors and rooms of the overrun manor, where golbinesque monsters jump out and scare you.
Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives
Another homage to classic Universal monsters, Frankenstein’s bride is determined to bring back Frankenstein’s gruesome monster. Visitors of The Bride of Frankenstein Lives will see Frankenstein’s Bride step out of the shadows in a spooky laboratory, where she begins experimenting on unsuspecting victims.
Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store
There is also a Halloween Horror Nights Tribute Store set up with meticulously themed rooms and a gothic arch entrance. Explore the dusty “Attic,” where you’ll find old and decaying items from past nightmares, as well as special sweet treats. Check out Dr. Frankenstein’s latest experiment come to life in the Universal Monsters laboratory. For an HHN 2020 photo-op, pose next to Jack the Clown in the All Hallows Carnival Room, decked out with jack o’ lanterns and carnival spooks.
What’s more, specialty food and merchandise is available, such as retro themed Halloween Horror Nights posters, t-shirts, and socks. Create and purchase your very own Franken-Mold, a collectible wax figure made with a 1960’s waxworks vending machine. And finally, make your own unique t-shirt design at the “Horror Ink” kiosk.
