We could drive from our Santa Maria home in 2 hours and enjoy the beach, wine country, amusement parks hot tub, outdoor grill, and the closeness of nearby towns such as Santa Barbara. Also, we could rent extra time in the winter for dolphin and whale watching on tours from near by Ventura harbor. There are many public golf course nearby. As I retired and moved back east, I am limited in my ability to travel back to CIS. I have made many inexpensive trades through GPX to other resorts in Carlsbad, Napa Scottsdale, Tahoe, and Las Vegas. A very friendly comfortable vacation stop close to the Pacific Ocean.
